TERRORIST ATTACKS AND PROVOCATIONS IN THE GROUND SAFETY ZONE

since June 10, 1999 until August 31, 2001.

In the period since June 10, 1999 (when the Military Technical Agreement signed) until August 3, 2001, 1160 terrorist attacks and provocations were committed.
From total sum of committed terrorist attacks in the Ground Safety Zone, 967 attacks committed against police officers and objects, 155 attacks against civilians and 36 attacks against members of international missions and organizations. In those attacks, 18 members of local police and 10 civilians were murdered, and 45 civilians were kidnapped. 61 local police officer, 25 civilians and 2 members of international organizations were wounded in terrorist attacks.
